What makes a good listing
Real listings at real prices get booked and show up on Google
- 3–5 real photos in daylight on a plain background: the front, every accessory laid out, and any marks or scratches. No stock or internet photos
- A title that names the real thing, with brand and model. Brand and model help people find it on Google
- A description of at least two lines: what's included, its condition and what it's good for
- A price per day at or a little under the typical range in Lumo's catalogue, to get your first booking
- A deposit of about 10–20% of the item's value is a sensible start. Lumo holds it, not you
- A pickup area and times you can actually keep
- Give the body and lens names, and the shutter count if you know it
- Show the battery, charger, strap and any memory card you include
- Photograph the lens glass and any marks on the body

Questions from owners
What can I charge for my camera?
You set the price per day. DSLR and mirrorless cameras and lenses typically rent for ₹500–1,600 a day (Lumo's catalogue range); pricing at or a little under it helps you get your first booking.
What does Lumo keep?
Lumo keeps 15% of the rent for running the platform and promoting your listing on our social media. The deposit is never part of it. Listing is free, and you get the rest.
Who holds the security deposit?
Lumo holds the renter's deposit, never you or the renter, and settles it after you confirm the return.
What if my camera comes back damaged?
Report it in the app at the return. You and the renter both photograph the camera at handover and again at return, so its condition is on record, and Lumo still holds the renter's security deposit until you confirm the return.
What if the renter cancels?
The renter gets 100% back if they cancel more than 12 hours before 00:00 IST on the first rental day; inside 12 hours, Lumo keeps 10% of the rent and fees and the deposit comes back in full. Nothing goes to the host. If you cancel, the renter gets 100% back.
How do I get paid?
To the payout account you choose in the app: a bank account or UPI. Lumo keeps 15% of the rent, never the deposit.
Can I choose when it's available?
Yes. You choose the dates it can be booked and can pause the listing anytime. There is no approval step: you are notified when someone books.
Is there a bonus for inviting friends?
Invite a friend to list on Bazaar: when their first Bazaar item goes live, you each get ₹100 in Lumo wallet credit. Signing up alone doesn't earn credit.
