How much does it cost to rent on Lumo Bazaar?
Each owner sets a price per day, shown on the listing. Fees, taxes and the security deposit (held by Lumo) are added at checkout, and the app shows the full total before you pay.
Who holds the deposit?
Lumo does, never the owner. Lumo settles it after the owner confirms the return, using the photos both sides take at handover and return.
How is the item's condition recorded?
Both sides photograph the item in the app at handover and again at return, and the deposit sits with Lumo until the owner confirms the return. Listings show the owner's area, not their address.
When does the rental start and end?
You pay for the days you have the item: the clock runs from handover until the owner has it back. For cancelling, the 12-hour line counts back from 00:00 IST on your first rental day.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Cancel more than 12 hours before 00:00 IST on your first rental day (that is, before noon the day before) and you get 100% back. In the last 12 hours, Lumo keeps 10% of the rent and fees and the deposit comes back in full.
Do I need the Lumo app?
Yes. Booking, chatting with the owner and listing your own things all happen in the Lumo app for iPhone and Android. This site shows what is available.
Where is Bazaar available?
Bengaluru (Bangalore) only for now, starting with HSR Layout, Koramangala and Bellandur.
